Who I am

I was born and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, and am an almost-attorney (currently studying for the July 2026 Bar Exam…wish me luck!) and indie author! I have a J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University, with a concentration in Political Strategy and minors in both Political Strategy and Creative Writing. I’ve been writing since I was seven years old and have been lucky enough to win multiple awards for my work. My multimedia novel Dear Sydney has been read over three million times in 50 countries and was the recipient of a 2016 Watty Award. Treadmill was shortlisted for a 2021 Watty Award, and its sequel, The Terrible Trial of Kennedy Abrams, won a 2022 Watty Award. When I’m not writing or studying, I can usually be found reading, listening to Taylor Swift (peep the Eras Tour pic), or rewatching a sitcom (it’s Modern Family).
